Happy Sunday!

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great and relaxing weekend and are gearing up for the week to come. Sundays are usually my day to run errands, meal prep a little and get everything ready for the week to come, it’s possibly my most productive day! Plus Game of Thrones is on, and even though there were a lot of spoilers out this week I am SOOO excited about tonight’s episode!

This weekend I treated myself a bit, I finally got to try FitVine wine! I have been dying to try it so when I saw that I could pick it up a couple towns over from me I ran to the store. I tried the Chardonnay (my favorite type of wine) and the Cabernet Sauvignon, both were totally worth the wait!

FitVineThe Chardonnay was so lite and refreshing, it is a perfect summer night wine. It has little hints of pears and citrus in it that I really loved, it is going to be a staple in my wine fridge. The best part of this wine is that a 5oz glass is about 90 calories and only 3g of carbs!

The Cabernet Sauvinon was also really good. I am not much of a red wine drinker, but I have to say this one will find it’s self in my wine fridge pretty regularly too. I was surprised how smooth this one was! And again per 5oz glass it is about 95 calories and 3.4g of carbs! I was so stoked to wake up this morning and not feel too guilty about having a drink (or two in this case)!

I also made a fun little strawberry dessert! I used really fresh strawberries to make a topping that would be really good on ice cream or on top of a piece of sponge cake (which is what I did)! strawberry1

Strawberries with fresh mint

  • 2 Tbsp raspberry jam
  • 1 Tbsp agave
  • 1 Tbsp fresh mint, thinly sliced plus extra for garnish if desired

  1. In a medium sized Tupperware container add the strawberries, raspberry jam, agave, and mint. Gently mix well and refrigerate for at least an hour.
  2. Serve over ice cream, yogurt, or really anything you’d like and enjoy!
