This is a great little trick to have on hand. This shredded chicken can be used for salads, thrown in a stir fry, put in tacos, the possibilities are endless.
Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken
- 3 lbs chicken breast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup chicken or water
- Load all the ingredients into the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
- Remove the chicken and place it into a Tupperware container, using 2 forks shred the chicken.
- Note: if you are using frozen chicken you do not need the broth.
