Refreshing Green Smoothie

Boy oh boy is it hot out here today, the high today is 111 degrees! Can you believe it?! It is so important to stay hydrated on days like today, and what better way to do that than with a super healthy smoothie. I start almost every morning with this smoothie because it is SO refreshing!

This smoothie has fresh pineapple, cucumber, celery, and spinach! Pineapple is great for you, it reduces inflammation in joint, it’s good for your eyes, and improves your blood circulation. Cucumber helps to keep you hydrated, helps to flush out toxins, and has skin friendly minerals like magnesium and potassium.  Celery is a great source of vitamin k, it helps keep you hydrated, and is a good source of fiber. And finally, spinach is a great source of iron, calcium, zinc, and protein!

Refreshing Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 stalks of celery, sliced
  • 1/2 cup English cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 cup pineapple
  • 1/3 cup spinach
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

Directions

  • In a blender add all ingredients, in the order show, for about 50 second to a minute (or until it is completely smooth). I highly recommend investing in a Vitamix blender! ENJOY!
